Wisdom of the Ancients

How do you create the ultimate success in your life?  The ancients believe that it comes from within and I agree.  Recently I attended a 5 day intensive camp called “Enlightened Warrior Training Camp” put on by a company called Peak Potentials.

While at the camp we learned aspects about mastering the inner voice…you know the constant mind chatter that ends up not serving our truest self and keeps most of us from achieving what we want in life.

One of the lessons I took from the camp was how to engage my inner dialog to support me.  The title warrior to the Samurai meant “one who conquers oneself”.  If you can conquer the negative thoughts that anchor you into old habits and beliefs then you can be successful.

I have dedicated my life to this pursuit and will continue to share the wisdom of acquire along the way.  Here is how Tao Te Ching says it…

To be whole, let yourself break.
To be straight, let yourself bend.
To be full, let yourself be empty.
To be new, let yourself wear out.
To have everything, give everything up.

Knowing others is a kind of knowledge;
Knowing yourself is wisdom.
Conquering others requires strength;
Conquering yourself is true power.
To realize that you have enough is true wealth.
Pushing ahead you may succeed,
Put staying put brings endurance.
Die without perishing and find the eternal.

To know that you do not know is strength.
Not knowing that you do not know is a sickness.
The cure begins with the recognition of the sickness.

Knowing what is permanent: enlightenment.
Not knowing what is permanent: disaster.
Knowing what is permanent opens the mind.
Open mind, open heart.
Open heart, magnanimity.
